Vince Gordon told me I had to hear you and he was right. Man alive, that's the joy that belongs in rockabilly! Thanks so much for writing and singing those great songs. And what a pleasure to hear Grady Martin's band backing you up! It's a great legacy, Don. ~~~ Best Regards from The Rivers

I happened upon this site by accident. I'm a rockabilly/hillbilly fan and guitarist, but I'd never heard Don Woody before. Don, your records ROCKED!! Such a shame that you didn't record more.

just wanted to say thanks don,for the half dozen or so great records you recorded,in the mid to late fifties, such a shame, their were so few.first heard you on rare rockabilly vol 1,with barking up the wrong tree, make like a rock n roll, morse code.for years thaught these were the only ones, imagine my surprise when i found, the official web site, and heard all american boy & not i,they blew me away, all i can say is thank god for mp3s,because if they were vinyl i would have worn them out buy now. oh well thats it for now,i am not sure if don actually gets to read these, but once again many thanks. john critchley (UK)
